One of a Keim
As my children have reached that place in their lives that they are less and less dependent on me, I find a growing urge to use the side of my brain that for too long has remained fairly dormant and that is the creative, right side. It is a comfortable place to be and when there, allows me mini-mental vacations.
One of a Keim came into existence back in the late 80s as I didn't have the heart to throw out catalogs that came to me in the mail with beautiful colored photos. I felt compelled to create using these pictures and began turning them into earrings. A high school student of mine in San Antonio, Texas was the one to suggest the name "One of a Keim" given the unique nature of my work. The title was too good not to use.
